Timing Privacy Policy
SEP TRADING CO.,LTD. (“we” or “us”) operates Timing, a Seoul subway guide for travelers (the “App”). The App operates without user accounts, tracking, or advertising. This Privacy Policy describes what information leaves your device, the purposes for which it is processed, and how long it is retained.
Summary
- The App requires no account or login and contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking.
- The App does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, or notifications.
- Favorite stations are stored only on your device.
- Search terms you enter are transmitted to our server solely to return results and are not linked to you.
- Address search terms are forwarded to an address service operated by the Korean government.
Information that we do not collect
We do not request or collect your name, email address, telephone number, location, contacts, or advertising identifiers. The App contains no advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting software.

Information transmitted to our server
The App obtains data from our server at api.itsthetiming.com. Depending on the feature used, the App transmits the following information:

Each request also contains a fixed key that identifies the App, not you. We do not use the information above to identify you, create profiles, or deliver advertising, and we do not sell it.
Technical data processed by our hosting provider
Our server operates on the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), which maintains data centers worldwide. To deliver responses and protect the service, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and the time of each request. We use IP addresses only momentarily to limit excessive requests and do not retain them. Cloudflare’s processing is governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. Your requests may therefore be processed outside your country of residence, including in the United States.
Sources of transit data
Arrival information, elevator status, station names, and station amenities are derived from public data published by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Metro. Our server retrieves this data on a fixed schedule, and your search terms are not transmitted to these organizations. Websites opened from links on the About screen are subject to the privacy policies of their respective operators. Timing is an independent app. It is not affiliated with these organizations, and they have not endorsed or guaranteed any aspect of the service.
Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise provide personal information to third parties. The only external parties involved in operating the App are Cloudflare (Section 4) and the address service of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (Section 3).
Children
The App is a general-purpose travel tool. Because it does not identify its users, we do not retain personal information of any user, including children.
Security
All communications between the App and our server are encrypted using HTTPS. Our server does not store information that identifies you, and access to the server is restricted to the operator’s account.
Your rights
Depending on where you reside, laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea may grant you the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Because the App does not retain information that identifies you, we generally hold no personal information to provide. You may remove favorite stations in the App at any time, and you may submit any request or inquiry using the contact details in Section 11. We will respond without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law.
For users subject to the GDPR: search terms you submit are processed as necessary to provide the feature you request (Art. 6(1)(b)), and technical data is processed for delivery and security on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure service (Art. 6(1)(f)). No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
Changes to this policy
We may amend this policy to reflect changes to the App or applicable law. Amendments will be posted on this page with a revised effective date, and material changes affecting your rights will be posted at least seven days before they take effect. Before introducing any feature that processes personal information, such as purchases, we will amend this policy.
