Timing Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (these "Terms") govern the use of Timing, a Seoul subway and bus guide for travelers (the "App"), developed and provided by SEP TRADING CO.,LTD. ("we," "us," or "the Company"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Summary
- The App requires no account or registration.
- Timing is purchased once from the App Store or Google Play. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal.
- The App may be offered at a reduced or no-cost price for a limited, announced period; the regular price resumes once that period ends.
- Transit information is drawn from public data and provided for reference; it may be delayed or inaccurate.
- The App is developed and independently operated by the Company and is not affiliated with or sponsored by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Seoul Metro, or any other public institution.
Purpose
These Terms set out the rights, obligations, and conditions of use between the Company, which develops and provides the App, and the person who downloads and uses it ("you" or "user").
The service
The App provides English-language Seoul subway and bus arrival information, a route map, Korean address translation, and facility information such as elevators, lockers, and restrooms at many stations, based on public data published by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Metro. The App does not use your location and does not require an account; where any information is stored, it is stored only on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Formation and termination of use
Because the App has no registration step, you are considered to accept these Terms when you download and run the App. You may end your use at any time by deleting the App from your device; deleting the App also removes your favorites and settings stored on that device. Deleting the App does not by itself end a purchase already made; a purchase is a one-time charge, not a recurring subscription, so there is nothing further to cancel.
Purchase and payment
Unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase, the App is offered as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play. There is no subscription, and no payment renews or repeats automatically. From time to time we may offer the App at a reduced price, including a temporary no-cost price, for a limited and announced period; once that period ends, the App returns to its regular price for new purchases, and this does not affect a purchase you already made.
Your purchase is charged to the payment method on your Apple ID or Google account and is processed entirely by the App Store or Google Play under that store's own terms, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the Google Play Terms of Service. We do not collect or store your card number or other payment details.
Refunds
Refunds for a purchase are handled directly by Apple or Google under their own policies; the Company does not operate a payment server and cannot issue a refund itself. On iOS, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, find the Timing purchase, and choose Report a Problem to request a refund. On Android, open the Google Play app, go to Payments and subscriptions, find the Timing purchase, and request a refund there, or contact Google Play support. Whether a refund is approved and how long it takes is decided by Apple's or Google's own policy and cannot be guaranteed by us. If you believe a payment or feature error in the App caused you harm, you may email us at the address in Section 14, and we will explain how to request a refund from the store.
License and user obligations
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to install and use the App on a device you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial travel use.
You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; copy, redistribute, rent, lease, or resell the App or its content; scrape, systematically extract, or republish data obtained through the App; use automated tools to interfere with the normal operation of the App or our server, or extract a means of accessing our server for another purpose; remove or alter any notice of copyright or trademark; or use the App in a way that violates applicable law.
Accuracy of information, independent operation
Transit times, elevator status, and other information shown in the App are estimates derived from public data published by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Metro, forwarded by our server. This information may be delayed or inaccurate depending on the publishing agency, vehicle operations, or network conditions, and we do not guarantee its completeness or accuracy. Please confirm current conditions with on-site signage or station staff before making travel decisions, particularly where timing matters, and do not rely on the App as your only source for an important schedule.
Timing is developed and independently operated by SEP TRADING CO.,LTD. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Seoul Metro, or any other public institution. Rights to the public data the App forwards, and to the subway route map shown in the App, belong to the agencies that publish them.
Limitation of liability
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, without a guarantee of fitness for a particular purpose or error-free operation. We are not liable for damage arising from causes beyond our control, such as natural disaster, an error or interruption in data from a publishing agency, a network failure, or your own fault. We are not liable for indirect damages, such as a missed connection or a failed transfer caused by delayed or inaccurate arrival information, unless caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Intellectual property
The App's software, design, text, and any related marks are owned by the Company or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Copyright in the transit data belongs to the publishing agencies, and we use it under the terms on which that public data is made available. You may not copy, distribute, collect, or commercially use the App's screens or content beyond your own personal use.
Minors
If a purchase is made by a minor, consent from a parent or legal guardian is generally required; this is managed through the payment restrictions and family-sharing features of the purchaser's Apple ID or Google account. A parent or legal guardian may request that the store cancel a purchase made by a minor without such consent, in accordance with that store's policy.
Changes to and discontinuation of the service
We may add or change features of the App, or modify or discontinue all or part of the service, where operationally or technically necessary. If a publishing agency stops or limits the data it provides, the affected part of the service may be limited accordingly. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give notice in advance through the App or our store listing.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If a dispute arises from your use of the App, we and you will first make a good-faith effort to resolve it through discussion; if that is not possible, either party may bring an action with the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea.
Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms to reflect a change in the service or in applicable law; when we do, we update this page with the revised content and effective date. A change materially unfavorable to you will be separately announced through the App or our store listing at least thirty days before it takes effect.

If the English and Korean versions of these Terms are inconsistent, the English version prevails. For users residing in the Republic of Korea, the Korean version prevails.
